Hello everyone with a compassionate heart
I am posting this blog to ask for some help for my 87-year-old mother and 59 years old brother who are both living in one house and are both bed-ridden. They are both not pensioners meaning dependent solely to close relative like me. They are located in the Philippines in central Visayas region. While my family settled here in nearby Manila area, they depend to me for their medicines and monthly sustenance. Although they are not in the hospital anymore, it is so burdensome for me to supply them medicines and cash sustenance for their care giving. I am asking help because I am no longer earning money. I lost my sea-based job five years ago. With my age in mid 50s, I could not find a job anymore but to depend a little from my 2 working unmarried children.
My 87 year old mother is semi-paralyzed from 2nd stroke a year ago. She suffered half-body paralysis and could not move her right hand and foot. She still can speak good but every care is done in her bed. My brother who is a widower has got only a daughter (married to a fisherman with 3 children, living hand to mouth existence, and trying to make ends meet) to help him. He suffered stroke from hypertension with a heart complication with 2 blocked arteries. He has voice disorder (unable to talk) and cannot walk by himself. He supposedly needs by-pass surgery to recover and to be back to his normal life. But with financial difficulty, it will not happen. I can only afford a little amount of money for their medicines. But now I am already exhausted and started to think to better ask some donations through this blog. I hope this blog can reach many compassionate people. A one dollar donation is a very good amount. And if this blog will be able to produce one thousand donations – it will result to one thousand dollars and if that amount will be reached, I think that will be enough to support them for food and medicines for one whole year.

I started promoting this blog in early July this year 2010 but until now I haven't received a single positive response yet. I think many people think this is scam or some kind of hype, but God knows as I am a God-fearing person, I am doing a real, factful and true intention for a rightful purpose. And because I am now a bit desperate, I want to reach wealthy US philanthropist but I don't know how. Maybe I will try to find them in twitter. I want to contact famous philanthropist like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey, where I learned they have compassions to underprivileged poor people in need of financial support. Lately I even tried to be affiliate with some internet programs to earn some extra cash, but most of it needs a few dollars investment to join that I do not have. There are some internet programs inviting to join with them for free but still I didn't find one that will make me money.
If I can only find one person who can donate for this cause, a one-time donation of $1,000, then I will now stop seeking help. That amount will be enough for my sick mother and brother to sustain food and medicines for a whole year. I know this amount is just chicken feed to rich people but where are they, where I can find them. I hope someday I can reach these three people I mentioned above I'll show this blog to them, they might be the person who can help my problem. I want to add also a philanthropist I heard of being so kind, I think he is a New York City mayor, by the name Mike Bloomberg, I want to ask help from him also. I will try to find his name in twitter.
I would like to explain here that had I known before what I have planned now, I would have taken pictures with my mother and brother when I was with them for two months last March to April this year. But it really did not come into my mind to have them pictured with me because I didn't have a camera with me and my cellphone was without camera. It would help a lot to believe, if I have posted some pictures here in my blog. But I promise to some with generous heart if ever they send donation, that can take me back to them in the province about 600 kms away, I will take picture with them and show it to those who have extended help.
I am thanking so much in advance to people who are blessed so much by God who wish to extend help.
My updates today August 21, 2010: Still there isn't a single response from this blog. I read the website of Gates Foundation, and I was so disappointed because they don't extend help to individuals. So how can some desperate individuals seeking assistance get help from generous people? To those who have read this blog, please hear my plea and believe. While you are blessed so much by God, please share some of it. I know God give more rewards to those who are generous and compassionate in giving. If you are blessed so much with material things who have everything, God knows what's to be rewarded to you. A healthy and long life, and happiness all through your life.
Updates today Sept. 16, 2010. New update today, November 7, 2010 - Still the same nobody responded from this blog. Last month I twitted so many famous people and gave a copy of this blog, hoping that their hearts will be touched but still it went unheeded. But I will keep trying some ways to have this blog be read more by people.
